View Full Version : 22news story about illegal street racing

6pm news just had the lead story about the street racing in springfield.

It was pretty funny, the reporter says cars race at speeds between 100-250mph!! And that the racers have cars valued at up to $100,000 dollars. (meanwhile the show a red civic with bodykit)

This lady Rivera is really pushing to put laws on the books to ticket spectators, tow cars, etc......

Again, if someone opened a track in the springfield area, imagine the $$ that could be made (maybe enough to pay off the big dig eventually!)

The big dig will never be paid for

I agree with that.

As for the article about dragging, I just read the blurb on WWLP's website. You know, instead of these politicians and law enforcement officials having their pussies hurt about this, they really should come up with something like Lebanon where people can pay to drag and sign waivers and shit. If these people don't want to deal with the people that want to drag their cars then this is how they should solve the problem. But of course, our government likes to push more fines and just all around excess emotion on the people that enjoy dragging.

Drag racing isn't new. The news blurb said that it's "recently become mainstream". Get the fuck out of here. Real draggers have been doing this shit since the 50s INCLUDING some of these lawmakers. Everyone's had a taste of pushing their cars to the limits. The people that are making the scene dangerous are stupid faggot ricers with beat up cars, park benches on their trunks and bling bling rims. "Yo I drive a '92 CRX, my car's the shit." Get fucked. Those are the people that drive like idiots and weave in and out of traffic in downtown Springfield. I know because I'm down there just about every night. So I think this issue needs to be looked at a little more seriously, and definitely not by people who don't know what the fuck they're talking about *cough* Rivera *cough*

No way Jay, you got an STI wing (for an STI lol), that's sweet. But I'm not the kind of guy to praise a kid with a Geo Storm with a big fat 4 foot high aluminum piece of shit screwed on the trunk.

Hey, why don't you get Dremel and cut a piece off the bleachers at the local park, make mounts off Erector set toys and make a wing, or better yet, eat my ass with a spoon.
