For Sale- Black 2000 Ford Escort ZX2
5 speed
40,000 miles
Power windows, power locks, keyless entry, stock alarm, light tint, Alpine head unit (one disc cd player), 10 disc Audiovox- Rampage changer in trunk, Wings West 3 piece spoiler, 2.25 cat to mufler piping, universal muffler, "Escort" debadged from trunk, aftermarket shift boot and knob
Very clean inside, 3 minor scratches outside
I bought the car one year ago this month with 15,500 miles and everything on it but the Alpine head unit (which was installed by Tweeter).
my payoff is $8,500
asking $6,600
The car's only problem is bald tires.

Good luck with the sale. ZX2's are depriciating in value almost as bad as Neons, don't know why, they aren't nearly as bad.

Hardly. KBB has it valued at $5025. Good luck though. I say keep it and boost that. Zetecs love boost and you want to be different.

Damn good luck Carney. Not to discourage but that's a steep price to be asking. I'd love to take your car over mine as a replacement lol, I'm in the mid 90K range. I do love your exhaust... I'd take it in a heartbeat if I had the $$$.

I didnt flame anything at all man. I was just stating that the asking price was somewhat high. Shit, I own a 2003 with 13,000 miles and its already valued at 10,300. The retail value of our cars sucks. Gotta be realistic or you'll never be able to sell it.
And I also rated it as being in good shape do to the scratches and the bald tires instead of excellent. Thats the $500 difference.

I consider it a fair price. My car's blue book is 9800 and it's a 99 w/ 69k miles on it. 6700 isn't a bad price for a 2000 with less miles. Plus he has a wing. Sell the car to a ricer and hook the underglow back up.
Thats way too high for a price. I just ran KBB and the car in excellent condition for private party is only 5580. Lower the price Carney. What KBB did you use anyway?
The aftermarket parts dont do shit for a car, you should know that after I sold my civic! Better hope you find some stupid ricer to buy it for that price.

after market parts don't do shit...unless you find someone interested in that stuff, put flyers up around a high school, kids will be pretty impressed with a car with a Cd player and exhaust, especially if they like cars with cheaper insurance.

I think you guys are being a little harsh. Hell KBB tells me my car is worth $13,850! Do you really think I'd sell it for that price, hell no.
It depends on what people are willing to spend, the thing that hurts your pricing is that the ZX2 is a fairly common car and there is a wide selection available, but with the wing and stuff you may be able to get what your asking. It'll take time though.
have u thought about ebay? there's always someone willing to buy something for what u want to sell it at. im sure you've seen that 300hp v6 stang ::) someone bought that haha. id be more concerned with someone buying the car, kiling it, the "lemon law"ing you, at least on ebay you sell the car as-is and you could get a better market value for it

Wow you're lucky, that's a decent trade-in. I heard Bertera's a bunch of assholes so that's pretty interesting. Of course, how much did you pay for the WRX? Can't wait to see it.
